Manchester City have informed Barcelona to forget about a new loan for Joao Cancelo.
Both Barca and Cancelo are eager to keep working together next season after last campaign’s loan.
The Catalans want a new 12-month temporary deal with him, but City are insisting on a straight sale for the player.Â
Sport says Manchester want ÂŁ20-25m to sell the Portugal national.
However, Barcelona is insisting they do not have cash for an instant deal and would instead be open to a loan with an option to buy an arrangement for a set free.
