Rangers moved to the top of the Scottish league table at the weekend when they defeated early pace-setters Hearts away from home. They would want to stay there for as long as they can and that means beating this Aberdeen side that just lost the Scottish Cup final to Celtic.
The Gers have done well under Steven Gerard this season and they would feel they deserve to be top of the league at the moment even though Celtic are behind them with just one point and have a game in hand.
Rangers would have revenge on their mind when they take to the field for this game as they have had two bad experiences from their last two fixtures against this same opponent.
They were denied a first league win by a late equalizer when they visited Aberdeen in August, and they lost the league semifinals again to Aberdeen, no thanks a 79th minute header by Lewis Ferguson.
Steven Gerard’s men would feel playing this game at home is the perfect time for them to get revenge and they would not want to miss it.
